Meet Dr. Miguel Grillo

A Community Dentist at Heart
At Dental Wellness of Palm Beach, patients don't get passed between providers or treated like a number, they get Dr. Grillo. With nearly four decades in dentistry, he built this practice on a simple idea: advanced technology and clinical skill should support the doctor-patient relationship, not replace it. That means real conversations, treatment plans built around each patient's needs, and a team that knows your name.
For West Palm Beach's bilingual community, that also means being able to talk through your care in the language you're most comfortable in, English or Spanish.
Nearly Four Decades of Training and Experience
Born in the Dominican Republic and raised in New York City, Dr. Grillo earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Universidad Odontológica Dominicana in 1986, followed by advanced clinical training at New York University College of Dentistry's Institute for Foreign-Trained Dentists.
He went on to complete postgraduate hospital training at Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center in Brooklyn, a PGY-1 General Practice Residency and a PGY-2 residency focused on treating medically compromised patients. During this period, he also treated patients affected by HIV/AIDS through the Ryan White Program.
He later served as an attending dentist, and eventually President of the Medical Staff, at Cumberland Diagnostic & Treatment Center in New York City, collaborating daily with physicians and healthcare professionals across specialties.
In 1994, he opened his first practice, Grupo Odontológico Dr. Grillo, in Santo Domingo, where he also took part in philanthropic dental care initiatives. After returning to the U.S. in 1998, he practiced in New York before putting down roots in South Florida, founding Healthy Smiles Dental Group in Wellington in 2006, and later bringing that same standard of care to West Palm Beach through this practice.

Dr. Grillo is a Board-Certified Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) and holds Fellowship and Mastership status with the American Dental Implant Association. He is licensed to practice in both Florida and New York.
Leadership and Giving Back
Dr. Grillo currently serves as President of the Dominican Dental Association of Florida, where he supports continuing education, collaboration among dentists, and community outreach. Throughout his career, he has mentored dental students and young healthcare professionals, and provided care to underserved patients both in the U.S. and the Dominican Republic.
Beyond the Practice
Dr. Grillo is a licensed private pilot, a devoted husband, and a proud father of four sons. In his words:
"The most important thing is the care we give our patients. We keep it personal, and we know our patients by name."
